Yves-Michel Lefébure
Teaching Assistant at the Norwegian School of Economics. at NHH – Norwegian School of Economics
About me
My name is Yves-Michel Lefebure and I am a fourth year student currently completing a Master’s degree in economics and Administration at the Norwegian School of Economics. I grow up in a bilingual and bi cultural family with French and Norwegian as native languages. In addition to France, I have also spent an extensive amount of time in Africa, in Congo while I was younger. Through my academic and extracurricular activities, I have demonstrated that I hold good communication skills and I consider both my written and oral English skills to be at the required level for any kind of tasks. In 2014, I undertook an internship in Lagos Nigeria, at the French/Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the internship I was entrusted with conducting two market analysis reports within the oil, gas, electric and cosmetic section and also investigate a prospective mission within the metallurgic sector. The internship allowed me to obtain and further develop my organisational and planning skills. Working with colleagues across multiple nationalities and with different business cultures, I had to approach new ways of problem solving and adjust my own way of expressing myself to suit those particular teams. During my Bachelor's degree at NHH, I gained a greater understanding of how specific cultures define economic structures and how they allow a financial system which profoundly affects us and our everyday life. I have learned that the forces that drive our economical system are both a combination of opportunities and improvements. I believe we are fully responsible for what we, as individuals, decide to do regarding those improvements. The comprehension of the thoughts and mechanisms, which allow and define our economical system, is in my opinion crucial if we wish to change and improve it.
