My name is Kjetil Jøtne, I am 25 years old, and gratuated in 2016 my masters in Industrial Economics at the University of Stavanger. I took my bachelor's in Mechanical engineering where I took part of my studies abroad in Czech Republic. Right now I am taking a BBA at the same location, but I have no problem choosing a permanent job instead of this bachelor. Also while taking this bachelor I became a part of Start UiS, because innovation in general is exiting and the opportunity to help others develop new technology would be fantastic.\n
In my bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering I helped to build an electric racing car with ION Racing in 2014. Along with nearly 20 enthusiastic students, we learned a lot about working together in teams and we got results. I had independent tasks, with small time constraints, that were completed on time.\n
When I started on the master's degree, I took on the responsibility at the student association INDØKS as Board-leader. There I have been involved contributed to a better professional and social environment for members of INDØKS. As Board-leader, I then worked to establish partnership agreements with different industries, to give members more professional input. Such a position also causes a lot of administrative work, which requires systematic processes and proactive meetings. INDØKS is also the organizer of the Career Fair at the University of Stavanger, where we in 2015 gathered over 40 companies.\n
In my exchange period in Prague, I learned a lot about other cultures, where I met students from all over the world. Such an experience I think is useful because it has given me a more open mind for other people's culture, environment and language.\n
As shown above, I am a dedicated and responsible man who likes to take new challenges and produce good results. I like both to work independently but also in teams, and I am open to explore new cultures, and I would easily integrate into my new work environment."
